Friends working with Camm Followers

Associate members of Camm Followers are not dedicated to any particular aircraft within Camm's stable, but we could not exist without friends and associates that do so much throughout the year to help us. So those names listed below are much valued and appreciated by us all.

Mr. Arthur Moreton of North Weald, Epping, Essex — Arthur over the years has been very instrumental in making the North Weald Airfield Museum, "Ad Astra House", the house of memories that it is and what it represents today. He has played a tremendous part in trying to stop North Weald airfield from being developed. Over the years he has suffered ill health, but has carried on regardless and is much respected amongst the aviation fraternity.

Mrs. Linda Denney and son Glen — Linda and Glen are the wife and son of Clive Denney one of our patrons. Clive and his wife and son operate their own company "Vintage Fabrics". At the end of most restorations, when a beautiful warbird has been restored to its former glory, Vintage Fabrics plays a big part in an aircraft's final completion. For example a Hurricane is still fabric covered in Irish linen the same way as they were using the same skills sixty five years ago. This includes the rudders and ailerons and anything else that requires a fabric finish. They also spray paint a finished aircraft applying all of the authentic markings required. Sadly after completion of a rebuild, Vintage Fabrics highly skilled work often goes by unnoticed. There is a link to their Website on the Home Page.

Most of our members have known Clive, Linda and Glen for a number of years. Clive is also a qualified pilot and has flown the following types; Spitfire, Hurricane, Feisler Storch, Me108, Tiger Moth and Harvard. To date his greatest achievement was "Merlins Over Malta", in taking a Hawker Hurricane and a Spitfire back to Malta in 2005. This enabled the people of Malta one last look at the two aeroplanes that played such a big part in the saviour of their little Island during the Second World War.
